Oh, and I am not sure if this is a framer thing, but we have noticed some lovely art on the wood.

Today, we went by the lot and discovered that the framers had accomplished a lot in one day! Thanks to Jeff for the pics!

Wednesday, May 11, 2011 ~ Plumbing
Today, the plumbers were at the house installing the plumbing. The dirt, sand, and cinder blocks are beginning to look more like a home. :)

Our builder told us that since the plumbing has been finished that he should be able to pour the slab sometime the first part of next week.
Day 23
Monday, May 9, 2011 ~ The Footprint....Literally
Today, the builder laid the concrete blocks outlining the "footprint" of the house.
We were both elated to see the progress! In fact, John was so excited that he jumped out of the car, put on some tennis shoes, and walked straight into a puddle of wet cemet in his dress pants. So, we literally have two footprints on the lot: one of the house and one of John's foot. :)

After work, we headed by the lot to check out the progress made. We discovered that the builder had poured the concrete into the footings. With each day of progress, we get more excited about the end product.
